Those of you who have several dozen applications on your iPhones would have sometimes felt it cumbersome to swipe multiple times in order to launch an iPhone app that is on the last page of your Springboard.
This is because the Springboard 'locks' while you swipe across the screen letting you to only scroll through one page at a time.
Aaron Ash, the developer of iPhone apps such as Multifl0w for jailbroken iPhones has developed a tweak that will enable iPhone users to seamlessly scroll across several pages of apps on their Springboard. Called the 'SmoothBoard', this iPhone application primarily removes the lock that is present on the Springboard scrolling by default.
Describing the iPhone app, Aaron Ash writes:
"Springboard doesn't 'lock' when scrolling. A big swipe can scroll through multiple pages instead of only one page per swipe. If you stop scrolling Springboard won't "snap" to the nearest page, it will just stay in between pages. There are a few minor bugs. (like springboard snapping to the nearest page when an app is opened) But it does not hinder any functionality, and you can still move icons around just fine."
The iPhone app is free to download from Cydia. If you choose to download, please do tell us your experience with the iPhone app in the comments below.
